I was being ridiculous. It was an extreme manifestation of fear of being seen. It’s creeping up on me again as I write this because this whacked-out experience doesn’t paint me in the sanest light. But it’s real, it’s my story and there is at least one person out there who can relate at some level. And for that person, my words provide a service.
